Cosmic Valentine is an independent creative studio, zine, and workshop based in California. We're not a skate brand in the traditional sense. Inspired by the intertwined creative cultures that shaped skate, surf, DIY, punk, vintage racing, and underground art through the years. Outsiders and weirdos inspiring new generations to keep moving.
The zine sets the direction, tone, themes, the art and ideas... Everything comes out of that same creative process because it's experimental, cultural, and human. Prototyped and made in the workshop.
Why we started it. Most of what is made is generic and meaningless and taken over by corporate or private equity without a real connection to craft, or culture and no commitment to creativity, just commerce. Mass-produced, trend-chasing, made to be forgotten and already obsolete. We wanted to make things with feeling and a connection... Small-batch. Unique. Hands-on.
What we actually make. Right now: a hand-numbered, limited-edition zine; SPYDERTEK skateboard riser pads, tees; stickers, and phone cases along with random creative experiments.
